These terms cover the hosted Squawk service: the dashboard at app.squawksdk.com and the backend that receives reports. The SDK itself is open source under Apache-2.0 and is covered by its own license, not this page.
It is a beta
Squawk is in beta and free to use. It is provided as-is: things may change, break, or be unavailable, and there is no warranty and no service-level commitment. Before any change at the end of the beta that affects your stored data or starts costing money, you get notice by email first.
Your data stays yours
Reports submitted to your projects are yours. Squawk gets only the permission needed to run the service: storing reports, showing them to you, and delivering the notifications you configure. Retention and deletion work as the privacy policy describes.
What you agree to
- Use a real email address and keep your sign-in to yourself.
- Do not submit unlawful content, or data you have no right to collect.
- Your app's own privacy policy must cover the feedback data it sends to Squawk. Testers' screenshots, logs and device info are collected under your name, not Squawk's.
- Do not interfere with the service or with other people's data.
Suspension and leaving
Accounts abusing the service can be suspended. You can leave at any time; deletion works as the privacy policy describes.
Liability
To the extent the law allows it, Squawk is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and total liability is capped at what you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim. During the free beta, that is nothing.
Changes
These terms are updated in place, with the date above. Changes that matter are announced to account holders by email.
